Tarak Ahmed is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience in mental health. He holds an MSW and MBA, and specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, and self-esteem. Tarak is trained in CBT, DBT, couples counselling, and addictions, and also offers family and group therapy. His approach is evidence-based and client-centered, helping individuals build resilience and create meaningful change. He has worked in government and hospital settings and currently teaches mental health and addictions courses at colleges across Ontario.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) offering counseling for individuals, couples, and families. My practice focuses on helping clients build resilience, improve relationships, and achieve lasting personal growth in a supportive, non-judgmental space.
I am certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples and the Gottman Method, with additional expertise and certifications in neurodivergence, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
