I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who believes deeply in the healing power of compassion, connection, and culturally grounded care. My path into psychotherapy grew out of years of community work and my academic background in International Development, where I researched the impact of Islamophobia on young Canadian Muslims. These experiences, alongside my own lived realities, continue to shape the way I show up for my clients.
I bring a trauma‑informed, gentle, and collaborative approach to therapy. My goal is to offer a space where clients feel heard, understood, supported, and empowered to explore their narratives at their own pace. I am especially passionate about working within the Muslim community to increase mental‑health awareness and to honour the ways faith, culture, and identity shape our wellbeing.
One day, I hope to develop psychosocial programming in refugee camps and displacement settings, supporting communities facing adversity with dignity and care.
